From the stunning granite domes of Enchanted Rock to the scenic cliffs of Reimer’s Ranch, our beginner climbing course introduces you to the fundamentals of top-rope climbing, ensuring you learn essential safety techniques while having an unforgettable time outdoors. Our expert guides will walk you through tying a figure-eight knot, belaying techniques, communication essentials, and proper climbing form—all in a beautiful natural setting where you can challenge yourself at your own pace.

This 5-hour immersive experience is perfect for anyone seeking an adventure—whether you’re looking to bond with family, conquer new heights with friends, or simply push your own limits in a fun, no-pressure environment. We pride ourselves on making climbing accessible to all skill levels, and our instructors will tailor the course to match your goals and abilities. This is not just for beginners. If you’re looking for a day of climbing this is what you are looking for. We can push any level at any of the locations and we work with the clients that are in front of us. This is not your hokey tourist trap. We really aim to show everyone a good, fun challenge. This is a great idea for families, friends, partners, and, well, whoever wants to have a great time together and learn to trust and encourage each other.

With all climbing gear included, you don’t have to worry about renting equipment or hidden fees—just show up ready to climb. Our focus is on safety, enjoyment, and personal growth, ensuring that everyone leaves feeling empowered and inspired. Most people complete six to eight climbs in this first session. Allow for at least four to five hours for your climbing day, sometimes five to six for Enchanted Rock. We’re not so concerned about the clock but about safely introducing you to the thrilling sport of rock climbing! You’re not just learning the basics of safety; you’re getting on the rock and giving it your all. Our experienced and encouraging climbing staff focus the climbs around your growing skills so you feel safe yet challenged during your awesome beginner climbing adventure.

The Details:

• Learn basic top rope safety; tie figure 8 knot, belay, communicate, and climbing technique
• Average Course 5 hours for The Greenbelt, Reimers, and Mineral Wells, 6 or more for Enchanted Rock, These are averages, you can go longer or shorter depending on your group
• Meeting information and checklist of needs for the day sent upon confirmation
• No park reservation needed for Enchanted Rock 
• No minimum age, however be sure younger kids are ready for dealing with fears associated with height
• Climbing gear included, no gear rental fees (helmets, climbing shoes, harnesses, and ropes)
