Yes! Rock-About's program covers key requirements for the BSA Climbing Merit Badge. Our AMGA-certified instructors serve as qualified counselors and can sign off on applicable requirements during the program.

Rock-About works with Boy Scout troops, Girl Scout troops, Trail Life troops, and other youth organizations. We customize each program to meet the specific goals and requirements of your group.

We accommodate troops of various sizes, typically 8-30 Scouts per program. Larger groups are arranged with additional guides to maintain our safety standards and instructor-to-participant ratios.

Yes! All climbing gear is provided—harnesses, helmets, shoes, ropes, and hardware. Scouts just need to wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring water, sunscreen, and a packed lunch.

Rock-About's Scout programs run at the Austin Greenbelt, Reimers Ranch, and Enchanted Rock. We'll recommend the best location based on your troop size, skill level, and merit badge goals.

Customers will receive a full refund with 7 days notice of cancellation. Customers will be notified to reschedule in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If the customer cannot reschedule, they will be refunded. Contact us by email to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
